The World Youth 100 Checkers Championships took place in Police, Poland, from 27 October to 4 November. First, from 27 October to 2 November, the Classics Championship was played. On 3 November, the competition was held in rapid checkers, and on 4 November, the championship concluded with rapid draughts. Players from 17 countries took part in the competition and Latvia was represented by one of the largest delegations – 44 players. All tournaments were played under the Swiss system for boys and girls in the U8, U10, U13, U16 and U19 age groups.<\/p>\n
