2 March Jelgava 4. the Latvian Team Championship for Youth in 100-payline draughts was held at the secondary school. The team played against a team of four players, with the boys on the first three tables and the girls on the fourth table. The games were played separately in four age groups: U8, U10, U13 and U16. There were 21 teams entered in the U10 age group, but 51 teams took part in the competition.
Nine teams competed in the U8 age group. The Latvian champions were the team of DAB Baloži, consisting of Henriks Šauva, Haralds Vizulis, Zemgus Beitiņš and Jasmīna Lamberte. The second place and silver medals went to the team of the DAB Cēsis, which consisted of Roberts Gūtmanis, Marlēna Gudēvica Liepiņa, Martins Ošenieks and Bella Vanaga. Third place and bronze medal went to the Valmiera team, which consisted of Andy Tilens, Valters Grava, Everts Putniņš and Marta Paegle.
Twenty-one teams competed in the U10 age group. The Latvian champions were Valmiera’s team, consisting of Marks Paegle, Dāvis Brolis, Ričards Kviesītis and Anna Biruma. The second place and silver medals went to the first team of the DAB Ikšķile, consisting of Toms Andersons, Ernests Andersons, Ernests Lukstaraups and Emīlija Vaišle. Third place and bronze medals went to the team of Bauskas novada bērnu un jaunatnes sporta skola, which consisted of Gustavs Atstupens, Matīss Rimicāns, Rēzija Rīna and Rebeka Rīna.
Fifteen teams competed in the U13 age group. The Latvian champions were the team “Hameleons”, consisting of Aleksandrs Petrovs, Ivans Bogdanovs, Pavel Protopopovs and Anna Lebedinska. The second place and silver medals went to the first team of the DAB Salaspils, consisting of Arvo Krebe, Toms Bartušauskis, Aleksandrs Ivanovs and Natālija Paškova. Third place and bronze medals went to the team of Rīgas Bolderājas Jaunās pamatskola, consisting of Yelisey Lukyanenko, Maksim Zinevich, Nikita Kiselov and Varvara Ivanova.
Six teams competed in the U16 age group. The Latvian champions, winning all the rounds, were the team “Dambrete”, consisting of Pēteris Kripans, Kārlis Kalējs, Ernests Kalniņš and Malvīne Misāne. The second place and the silver medal went to the DAB Zolitude team, consisting of Ilya Trasko, Martynas Masanauskas, Nikita Vorotnikov and Milana Fideline. The third place and bronze medals went to the team of the DAB Salaspils, consisting of Alisa Orlova, Aleksandrs Tabunovs, Anete Rūta Rotgalve and Evelīna Orlovska.
